About Our Funeral Home and Our Commitment to You

Marion Nelson Funeral Home, family owned and operated for four generations, was established in 1951. This family tradition began when Jack Stephenson married Ruth Nelson and started the funeral home business with her son, Marion H. Nelson. Marion and Helen Nelson were married and were actively involved in the business until Marion's death in 1991. Mrs. Nelson continued to be active in the business until her death in 2022. The couple's son, Barrett Nelson, is now the Funeral Director in charge of both funeral homes in Lake Wales and Frostproof.
