Zylpha VanSlooten of Frostproof passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010 at The Grove Center in Lake Wales.
She was born August 11, 1924 in Quamba, MN to the late Donald and Carrie (Wintenburg) Stevenson; and moved to Frostproof from Bowling Green, KY in 1990. She was a homemaker, a member and the organist of the First Presbyterian Church of Frostproof, and a member of the Indian Hills Golf Club of Bowling Green, KY.
Survivors include her husband, John VanSlooten; daughter, Debra J. Joysey (Bill) of Lake Orion, MI; sons, Brian G. VanSlooten of Bowling Green, KY, Jack L. VanSlooten of Bowling Green, KY; seven grandchildren, Brandi, Breann, Shawn, Tom, Jennifer (Dan), Christopher and Jaclyn; and five great-grandchildren, Blake, Jack, Riley, Grace, and Anders.
Memorial service will be held 6:00 PM Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church of Frostproof.
