Zona Marie Norris

Zona Marie Norris of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born February 20, 1932 in Kissimmee; she came here from Osceola County in the late 1940's. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and cooking.

Zona was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas C. Meeks, Sr. and Donald Norris, son, Thomas Charles Meeks, Jr. and a brother, Buford Massey. Survivors include her daughters, Glenda Suppa of Georgia, Mary Ann Henrickson of Lake Wales, Doris Jean Ratton of Eagle Lake and Judith Meeks of Lake Wales; son, Jimmy Leo Meeks of Winter Haven; sister, Doris Griffin of Sanford; brother, Bob Massey of Lake Wales; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 until 1:30 PM, Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales until graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the Lake Wales Cemetery.

Family and friends are welcome to join us at the Kiwanis Park Pavilion for a potluck luncheon from 2:30 until 5:30 PM. Those who wish, may bring a covered dish.
