Michael Zachary Smith, 42

Michael Zachary “Zac” Smith of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at his residence.

He was born March 25, 1980 in Lake Wales to Michael and Carole Smith; he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a graduate of Lake Wales High School, attended the University of Florida, was an assistant manager at Home Depot and of the Church of Christ faith. He was a big fan of the Florida Gators and Cubs and enjoyed visiting the mountains of Tennessee. He loved music, video games, movies, books and collecting vinyl records. He loved his family dearly.

Zac was preceded in death by his mother, Carole Boggs Smith in 2000. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Annie Leigh Smith; daughters, Sadie Ophelia Smith and Ivy Addison Smith; sons, Donovan Dakota Smith and Elijah McCartney Smith; and his father, Michael Earl Smith all of Lake Wales.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until the memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2022 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Smile Train ( Donation | Smile Train ).
