Yvonne “Bonnie” McCain, 71

Yvonne “Bonnie” McCain, 71, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at the Lake Wales Care Center under the care of Vitas Hospice.

Bonnie was born February 12, 1955, in Circleville, Ohio to Kester and Duhnese (Adkins) McCain. She was a 1973 graduate of Logan Elm High School and a 1977 graduate of Ohio University.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara (Michael) Pratt of Lake Wales, FL; nieces and nephews, Tammy (Doug) Janney, Melanie (Kevin) Leslie, Jessica (Dylan) Mogan, Nathan Barr and Jeremy (Amy) Barr. She is also survived by several great and great-great nieces and nephews and other extended family members whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her nephew Mike (Carla) Pratt.

Bonnie’s work life was full of variety. She was an educator for many years, a program manager for Core, Inc. and a group home manager. She was proud of the great military service of her family members, and she proudly served a term as the president of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Lake Wales.
