Xiomara Rivera, 47

Xiomara Rivera of Babson Park passed away Monday, June 19, 2023 at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 6, 1976 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico; she moved to Babson Park from Connecticut four months ago. Xiomara was an office manager and of the Christian faith. Xiomara loved makeup and had a special place in her heart for animals, especially dogs. She was a joyful soul and daddy’s girl. She loved her family, husband, and kids dearly.

Xiomara was preceded in death by her son, Isaac Ruiz; brother, Roberto Ruiz Ruiz; and sister, Maria Magdalena. She is survived by her husband, Berto Rivera; daughter, Yaileene Cordero of Connecticut; sons, Ivan Cordero of Connecticut and Jeremy Cordero of Connecticut;  mother, Milagros "Mandy" Acevedo of Connecticut; father, James Ruiz "Papi Cano" and wife Nilsa Ruiz of Fort Meade; brothers, Jaime Ruiz Acevedo, Jaime Ruiz Ruiz, Luis Angel Ruiz Ruiz, Alberto Ruiz Ruiz; sisters, Yanira Ruiz Acevedo, Milagros Loperena Acevedo, Neshmayda Rodriguez Ruiz, Lizbeth Rodriguez Ruiz, Heidi Rodriguez Ruiz, and Pricela Ruiz; and grandchildren, Bella Jenice Cordero and Luka Cruz.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at Silver Hill Cemetery.
