Winfred Earl “Windy” Gudgel, 72
Winfred Earl “Windy” Gudgel of Frostproof passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022 at his residence.
He was born June 5, 1950 in Frankfort, Kentucky to the late Norman and Catherine Gudgel. Windy was a retired crane operator and a veteran of the United States Army. He was of the Christian faith and a Mason. He was also a tugboat operator and had his captains license, he loved the water.
Windy is survived by his wife of 25 years, Nancy Gudgel; stepsons, Brent Steedley of Frostproof, Mike Steedley of Frostproof, and Jeremy Steedley (Candy Hutto) of Avon Park; sister, Linda Finnell (Gary) of Versailles, Kentucky, and Lesley Rose of Kentucky; brothers, Sam Gudgel of Ashby, Massachusetts, and Norman Gudgel of Kentucky; ten step grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Frostproof Church of God with Rev. Sam Haag officiating. Interment will follow at Silver Hill Cemetery.
