Willis E Boozer

WILLIS E. “GENE” BOOZER, 83 Willis E. “Gene” Boozer of Indian Lake Estates passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016 at The Groves Center. He was born May 24, 1933 in Neelyville, Missouri to the late Willis W. and Emma Boozer; and came here 15 years ago from Gibsonton. He was the owner of Apollo Fabrications & Erection Inc. for 23 years and a Korean Conflict veteran of the United States Army serving in the 82nd Airborne. He was a member of the Iron Workers Local Union #397 in Tampa since 1958. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and drag racing in his younger years. After retirement, he was a fishing guide and enjoyed building airboats. Survivors include his daughter Taunya Durrance; sons, Robert G. Boozer (Dona) Bradenton, Robert D. Boozer (Tina) of Vero Beach, Rick Haywood (Wendy) of Cedar Key and Guy Lanham of Riverview; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
