Willie "Bill" Sharpe

Willie D. “Bill” Sharpe of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in St. Petersburg.

He was born November 12, 1934 in Soperton, Georgia to the late Willie Sharpe and Della (Holton) Sharpe. He has been a lifelong resident of the area. He was a retired Gardner for Lat Maxcy, he was a very humble man, enjoyed working in the yard, gardening on anything outside. Loved his wife, children and family very much. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by daughters Diane and Donna.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years Laura S. Sharpe of Lake Wales, FL, daughters Debbie Cogswell and husband Tom of Utah, Delores Sharpe of Lake Wales, FL, son David Sharpe of IL, sisters Ethel Beasley, Alene Henry, brothers Woodrow Sharpe, Romie Sharpe, 11 grandchildren and 13 Great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held 10:0o A.M. Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. David Durham officiating, visitation will be held Friday, July 10, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Interment will be at Lake Wales Cemetery.
