William "W.C." Williams

William “W.C.” Williams, 87

William “W.C.” Williams of Waverly passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Winter Haven Hospital.

He was born June 12, 1935 in Okahumpka to the late William and Eva Williams; he moved to Waverly from Okahumpka in 1940. W.C. was a carpenter for over 50 years and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He enjoyed working carpentry, and serving his church, and after retirement he continued to help others with wood working projects.

W.C. was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Lee Sane and Martha Lee Nickoloff; and brothers, Morris A. Williams, W.A. Williams, Jr., and Charles R. Williams. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa M. Smith and husband Scott of Lakeland; sons, Matthew K. Williams of Lake Wales, Michael K. Williams and wife Melissa of Lakeland, and Mitchell K. Williams and wife Melissa of Sarasota; his companion, Pam Hancock of Winter Haven; grandchildren, Michael K. Williams, Clay Williams, Mason K. Williams, Brianna Williams, Brandon Tre Cobb, Cameron J. Cobb, Maggie K. Williams, and Jackson A. Smith; and five great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 27, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lake Wales. Interment will take place on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake Butler. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the SPCA.
