William Vernon Spencer

William V. “Bill” Spencer, 91, of Winter Haven, Florida passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Hawthorne Inn in Winter Haven, Florida.

He was born October 28, 1927 in Stockton, Alabama to the late William Vernon and Ginsey (Hare) Spencer and he has been a resident of the Lake Wales Area since 1983 moving here from Toronto, than to Winter Haven in 1996. Bill retired from Sherman Equipment Supply in Toronto. Bill was a member of the Winter Haven Worship Center, A member of the Full Gospel Businessman’s Fellowship, Former President of Lake Wales Chapter and he led the Prayer Breakfast. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betsy Anderson Spencer; son, William A. “Bill” Spencer; daughter, Ann Marie Spencer.

Survivors include his daughter, Deborah Thompson of Newmarket, Ontario, Canada; 4 grandchildren.
