William E Smith

William E. “Mr. Bill” Smith of Lake Wales passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 at his residence.

He was born April 4, 1934 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the late Clyde W. & Naomi M. Smith; and he moved to the area in 1973. He was the Head of Maintenance in Housing and Urban Development and was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. William loved to fish and spending time with his grandchildren.

William was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Nicole; sister, Rose Allen and brother, Ralph Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian L. Smith; son, Clyde W. Smith (Sarah) of Lake Wales; daughter, Loretta Shoumake (Eddie) of Lake Wales; brothers, Roy Smith of Lake Wales, Donnie Smith of Indiana; one granddaughter, April and three great-grandchildren, Alex, Ryleigh and T.J.

The family will receive friends from 3:00pm until the funeral service at 4:00pm Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Clemons officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
