William Downs Sites

June 21, 1928 — September 7, 2013

William “Bill” Sites, formerly of Martinsburg, WV, passed away September 7, 2013
under the care of Hospice in Auburndale, Florida.

Born and raised in Martinsburg,
he attended Martinsburg High School and graduated from Mercersburg Academy.
He served in the US Army and received a BA from Hampden-Sydney College where
he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.
While living in Florida, Bill was an active member of Church of the Good Shepherd,
Lake Wales. He was a life member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge #778, past District Deputy
Grand Exalted Ruler, past Exalted Ruler and Secretary. He was also Past President
of Rotary and a Paul Harris Fellow.

In 1961 he married and is survived by Dr. Jeanefte Abdoney Sites of Winter Haven,
Florida. He is also survived by one daughter, Anne McKee Sites Mart7 and
husband Shawn of Martinsburg, two sons, The Honorable William Downs Sites, and
wife Jamie of Lakeland, Florida, and John Michael Sites and wife Anna of
Charleston, WV, three grandchildren: Benjamin K. and Jacob M. Sites of
Lakeland, Florida and Jade A. Sites of Charleston, WV, one sister Dr. Caroline
Fruchtman of Tennessee and one brother, Jacob A. Sites and wife Pat of Ohio.

Memonams may be made to any Hospice organization.

Memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Lake Wales.
