William A. "Bill" Roberts, Jr.

William A. “Bill” Roberts, Jr. of Nalcrest passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

He was born May 13, 1945 in Patterson, NJ to the late William and Lillian Roberts; he came here from New Jersey in 2006. He was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Postal Union #38. He was an avid bowler and Nascar fan. Survivors include his wife, Jean C. Roberts; daughter, Carolyn Scott (Charles) of Brick, NJ; step-daughter, Joanne Willans (Steven) of Whippany, NJ; step-son, Erik Kirk (Kelly) of San Francisco, CA; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. For those who wish, donations may be sent to the Humane Society of Polk County (3195 Dundee Road, Winter Haven, FL 33884). Memorial service is being held on March 14, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. at Trinka-Faustini Funeral Home in Maywood, New Jersey, with the inurnment to follow at Crest Haven Cemetery in Clifton, New Jersey.
