ROCKY FACE, Ga. -- Mr. William Cecil "Bill" Quinn of Rocky Face, Ga., formerly of Lake Wales, died of heart failure Sunday (Jan. 22, 2006) in Dalton, Ga. He was 74.
Born in Whitfield County, Ga., on March 24, 1931, he lived in Avon Park and Lake Wales before moving to Rocky Face, Ga., in 2000. He was a retired lineman crew foreman for Florida Power Corp. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Lake Wales Masonic Lodge No. 242 F &AM. He attended First Baptist Church of Lake Wales.
Mr. Quinn was preceded in death by his wife, Melba E. Quinn. He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Schroeder, Mathews, N.C., Connie Carter, Rocky Face; brothers, Vernon Quinn, Lamar Quinn, both of Tunnel Hill, Ga., Leonard Quinn, Dalton, Willard Quinn, Cohutta, Ga., Charles Quinn, Indianapolis; sisters, Nancy Quinn, Bonnie Quinn, both of Cohutta; two grandchildren; two great-grand-children.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel.
