William Gregg Pond, Jr.

William Gregg Pond, Jr. 72 of Indian Lake Estates, Florida passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at The Palms of Sebring.

He was born on March 7, 1943 in Avon Park, Florida to the late William Gregg, Sr. and Lola Beatrice Pond and he has been a lifelong resident of this area. He was a retired Citrus Field Supervisor for Ben Hill Griffin. Bill was an avid gator fan, enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Frostproof and served in the National Guard.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Cathern Pond, son William Gregg Pond III (Yvette )of Longwood, FL, daughter, Deanna Futrell (Mike) of Eustis, Florida; 5 grandchildren Will,Jarrett and Emma Pond, Alexander and Zachary Futrell, sisters, Julia Williams of Bradenton, FL, Amy Vallie of Bartow, FL, Billie Phillips of Belleair, FL, Laura Stokes of Bartow, FL, Becky Franz of Seminole, FL, ; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
