WILLIAM NIMMO, 95

LAKE WALES -- Mr. William Earl Nimmo of Lake Wales died of heart failure Monday (Feb. 13, 2006) at The Groves Center in Lake Wales. He was 95.

Born in Paducah, Ky., on May 21, 1910, he came to Lake Wales from Benton Harbor, Mich., 30 years ago. He was a retired auto maker for the Auto Specialists Co. in St. Joseph, Mich. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church of Lake Wales.

Mr. Nimmo was preceded in death by his first wife, Jimmie Lee Nimmo, and second wife, Beulah Nimmo. He is survived by his daughters, Leubell Shipers, Wilks-Barre, Pa., Betty Ann Grayson, Beaverton, Ore.; sons, Bill Nimmo, Hartford, Mich., Don Nimmo, Watervliet, Mich., Ron Nimmo, Hanford, Calif.; sisters, Hilda Anderson, Montgomery, Ala.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. at Lake Wales Cemetery.
