William W. “Bill” Metcalf, 88

William W. “Bill” Metcalf of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Lakeland.

He was born February 20, 1933 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, to the late William and Kathryn Metcalf; he moved to Lake Wales from Hollywood in 1984. Bill was the retired assistant district director for investigations for the Unites States Immigration and Naturalization Service. He was a member of Impact Church of Lake Wales and was a veteran of the United States Air Force who served in the Korean war.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Metcalf in 2015. He is survived by his sons, William Metcalf and wife Cindy of Prosper, Texas, Steve Metcalf and wife Loretta of Live Oak, and Robert Metcalf and wife Sandy of Lakeland; brother, James D. Metcalf of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; sister, Inez Curtis of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 16, 2021 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Walter Nelson officiating.
