William Philip Koelsch, DVM, 77
William Philip Koelsch, DVM of Frostproof passed away Monday, July 18, 2022 at Somers Hospice House in Sebring.
He was born March 8, 1945, in Standish, Michigan to the late William and Dorothy Koelsch; he moved to Frostproof from Michigan in 2014. William graduated from MSU with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and was the owner/veterinarian at Ark Animal Hospital for 45 years before retiring. He had a private pilot's license and enjoyed flying with his family and friends. William was a hotrod enthusiast enjoying car shows. cruises and parades with a few hotrods over the years. Throughout William’s life, he loved Christ, went on mission trips, baptized many people and encouraged others to follow Jesus. While in Florida, he was an active member of Family Life Church. He was also an animal lover and people called him the “dog whisperer” at Lily Lake.
William is survived by his wife of 56 years, Pamela Koelsch; daughters, Maria Judd and husband Eddie of Ohio, and Raquel Perez of Texas; and three grandchildren, Aleya, Deanna and Kira.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Family Life Church in Frostproof.
