FROSTPROOF -- Mr. Buddy Kelsoe of Frostproof died of heart failure Wednesday (Sept. 6, 2006) at Lake Wales Medical Center. He was 79.

Born in Altoona, Ala., on Feb. 2, 1927, he came to Frostproof from there in 1945. He was a retired truck driver of Ben Hill Griffin. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Frostproof Church of God.

Mr. Kelsoe is survived by his wife, Mary Magdalene Kelsoe; daughter, Kimberly Kelsoe Cutts, Frostproof; sons, Carl C. Kelsoe, Statsburg, N.Y., Joseph D. Kelsoe; brothers, Clifford Kelsoe, Davie, Pete Kelsoe, Jonesboro, Ga.; sister, Christine Henneger, Scottsboro, Ala.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 3 this afternoon at Frostproof Church of God in Frostproof. Services will follow at 3 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Silver Hill Cemetery.
