William O. "Bill" Heinzen

William O. "Bill" Heinzen of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 at his residence.

He was born August 08, 1931 in New York City, NY to the late William & Dorothea Heinzen; he came here 3 years ago from Pembroke Pines, FL. He was a chef and stamp dealer in New York and south Florida and was also a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing Texas Hold 'em Poker, horse racing, fishing and family time.

Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Nix and his son, Billy Heinzen. Survivors include his wife, Alice "Cathy" Heinzen; daughter, Donna M. Baldwin of Lake Wales; sister, Lucia Orlich of Blandford, MA; brother, Donald Smith of Houston, TX; four grandchildren, William Stewart & wife, Valerie, Cory Nix, Stephen Nix and Lauren Baldwin; and two great-grandchildren, Grace Stewart and Reese Stewart.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Anthony Bluett officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
