William L. "Billy" Hatton

William L. "Billy" Hatton of Lawton, OK, formerly of Lake Wales, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 at his residence in Oklahoma.

He was born July 12, 1971 in Bartow, FL; and grew up in Lake Wales until his enlistment in the U.S. Army. He recently retired from the U.S. Army following 8 years of service. He attended South Side Baptist Church of Frostproof. He enjoyed fishing, watching movies, and was a Tampa Bay Bucs fan.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Hatton of Lawton, OK; parents, Wayne and Linda Hatton of Lake Wales; sisters, Stella Hatton of Lake Wales, Betty Hayes of Lake Wales; maternal grandmother, Betty Wilcox of Lake Wales; nephews, Jonathan Hayes and Austin Hayes of Lake Wales; and many aunts and uncles of Lake Wales and North Carolina.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 12, 2010 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales, with visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
