LAKE WALES--William. L. “Bill” Haskin, 71, of Lake Wales died Thursday, March 22, 2007 at his residence.

Born April 19, 1935 in Barbados British West Indies first came to Lake Wales in 1935. Joined the military and returned to the area in 1976. He was retired from the U.S. Army. He was of the Episcopal Faith, he attended Stanton Military Academy, a member of the Lake Wales VFW, and he was a veteran of Vietnam serving in the U.S. Army. Enjoyed fishing, hunting and skeet shooting.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Haskin of Lake Wales, Daughter Patricia “Patty” Beasley of Babson Park; sons Frank Haskin of Orlando, Bill Haskin of Valdosta, Ga.,Rick Haskin of Babson Park. 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday , March 28, 2007 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Chaplain Steve Kearney officiating. Inurnment will be held at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
