William “Scott” Griswold, 20, of Petersburg, WV passed away Friday, February 15, 2008 at West Virginia University Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

Born August 25, 1987 in Winter Haven; he was a lifelong resident of the area until moving to West Virginia in 2004. He worked for Dawson Geophysical Co. and was of the Baptist faith. He attended Lake Wales Senior High and graduated from Gilmer County Senior High. He liked cars and music and loved his job.

William was preceded in death by his grandfather, Don Houk. Survivors include his mother and best friend, Tammi Houk Griswold of Petersburg, WV; father, Donald W. Griswold of Lake Wales; paternal grandparents, John & Becky Griswold of Frostproof; maternal grandmother, Gloria Houk of Weston, WV; aunts & uncles, Terri Houk Eagerton of Orlando, FL; Tony Houk of Weston, WV; Mike Griswold of Frostproof; Gerogia Ann Keen of Bonifay; Bonnie Bennett of Camilla, GA; and several cousins, including Specialist Johnny A. Bentley stationed in Iraq.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday, February 22, 2008 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at Lake Wales Cemetery.
