William Eugene Furry, a beloved family man and dedicated worker, passed away on January 16, 2026, at Forsythe Hospice House. Born on May 22, 1933, in Union Bridge, Maryland, he lived a life rich in service and commitment.

William proudly served in the United States Army. After his military service, he pursued a career as a plumber and also worked as a custodian for the School Board of Carroll County, Maryland. An outdoor enthusiast, William enjoyed camping and spent two years as a full-time camper, embracing the beauty of nature. He was also an active member of the Moose Lodge in Maryland, where he formed lasting friendships and connections within the community.

William was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn Furry, with whom he shared 71 wonderful years. Together, they created a family filled with love and laughter. He is survived by his two daughters, Cindy Yost and her husband Vernon from Lake Wales, and Linda Gill from Taneytown, Maryland. William was a proud brother to Shirley Soper of Union Bridge, Wayne Furry of Union Bridge, and Ronald Furry of Manchester, Maryland. He cherished his role as a grandfather to three grandchildren and a great-grandfather to ten great-grandchildren.
