LAKE WALES--William Grose Cranston, 83, of Lake Wales, FL, formerly of Johnstown PA, died Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at Lake Wales Medical Center.
He was born in Beaverdale, PA, Jan. 19, 1924. His career in telecommunications spanned over 30 years. He was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church. In addition to his work at General Telephone, he was very active in the community with the Exchange Club and the Kiwanis.
William was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Anna Cranston in 1997; parents, George and Bertha Cranston. Survivors include: Douglas Cranston of Flower Mound, TX; Bruce Cranston of Ellisville, MO; and Gordon Cranston of Johnstone City, TN; and six grandchildren.
A private service is scheduled for the immediate family. Burial will be at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell FL.
