William S. Bair

William S. “Bill” Bair of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Florida Hospital Orlando. He was born June 8, 1948, in Hudson, NY, and came here from Auburndale in 1972. He was a reporter/columnist for the Daily Highlander for 6 years and most recently the Lakeland Ledger for 31 years. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Frederick H. Bair, Jr. and a brother, Rick Bair. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Martha Bair; daughter, Cinnamon Bair and husband, Brandon Walts of Dry Drayton, UK; son, Eric Bair and wife, Rayne of Montgomery, AL; mother, Margaret H. Bair of Auburndale; sister, Laura Jesseph of Bloomington, IN; and one granddaughter, Amelia Bair. Memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the First Presbyterian Church of Auburndale with Rob Quam officiating.
