LAKE WALES -- Mrs. Wendy Prescott Allen of Lake Wales died of a cerebral hemorrhage Sunday (May 14, 2006) at Winter Haven Hospital. She was 64.

Born in Boston on June 30, 1941, Mrs. Allen moved from New Hampshire to Lake Wales in 1967.

She was a bookkeeper for Ridge Aluminum. She was a member of the Elks Lodge #1974 and the Women of the Moose # 2391. For the last few years, she worked in the cafeteria at Roosevelt Academy. She was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, George D. Allen; daughters, Debra Searles, Donna Belcher, Cindy Moser, all of Lake Wales, Pamela Parker, Haines City; son, Wayne Phillips, Winter Haven; sister, Ellen Whynot, The Villages; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grand-children.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
