W.B. Melton

W.B. Melton, 84 of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at his residence.

He was born August 16, 1930 in Florence, Alabama to the late James Riley and Wilmer Mamie (Richardson) Melton and he has been a lifelong resident of this area. He retired in 1991 from Publix as a produce manager and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Nell J. Melton; daughter, Miki Amerson and husband Jody of Lakeland; sons, Don Spann of Lakeland, Ron Spann and wife Bobbi of Lakeland, Jimmie Melton and wife Becky of Lake Mary, Doug Melton and wife Pamela of Lakeland; 21 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren .

Graveside services were held 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the Lake Wales Cemetery with Bishop Jody Amerson officiating. Family received friends on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 1:30 until 2:30 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home.
