Wayne D Burger

Wayne Donald Burger of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, November 06, 2012 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

He was born March 03, 1935 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Clarence Paul and Mabel (Haring) Burger and has been a resident of the area since 2001 coming here from Lindenwold, New Jersey. He was a retired truck driver for S&S Enterprises and enjoyed camping. He raised dogs and birds, was a Sheltie (Shetland sheepdog) breeder and of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include wife, Catherine Burger; daughters, Debbie J. Burger of Lindenwold, NJ, Donna J. Reiser (William) of Lindenwold, NJ and Dawn M. Harrison (James) of Stratford, NJ; stepdaughter, Melissa J. Lascik of Lake Wales; son, David W. Burger (Helena) of South Carolina; sister, Janet M. Bridges (John) of Carriere, MS; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until the funeral service at 4:00 pm Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Keith Thompson officiating.
