Warren Jacob Roosa

Warren J. “Jake” Roosa 88 of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born August 9, 1925 in Monroe, New York to the late Jacob Isaac and Ruth (Dayton) Roosa and has been a resident of Polk County since 1975 moving here from Montgomery, New York. He was a retired Operating Engineer. Warren was a member of the Masons and American Legion; he was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Marines Corp. and was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Barbara Roosa , daughters, Diane Roosa Dixon of Hartsville, SC, Carol Roosa Smith and husband Greg of Hartsville, SC; sons, Kevin Roosa and wife Judy of New Paltz, NY, Scott Roosa of Mulberry, FL; sisters, Marion Love of Middletown, NY, Muriel Duffus of Middletown, NY; brother, Walter Roosa of New Paltz, NY; 2 grandchildren.
