LAKE WALES--Wanda Lee June Perdue “Dowa” Holliday, 61, of Lake Wales died of heart failure Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at home.

Born April 20, 1946 in Greenbrier County, WV; she came here from West Virginia in 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of the Truth Tabernacle in Lake Wales. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed watching soap operas. Her favorite quote was, ‘God loves me more than anybody’.

Mrs. Holliday was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Sue Holliday in 1976. Survivors include her husband, Ralph Holliday of Lake Wales; daughters, Kathern Holliday and Valrie Holliday Clark (& husband Donnie) both of Lake Wales; son, Randy Holliday (& wife Tammie) of Lake Wales; brothers, Ray Perdue and James Perdue both of West Virginia; Danny Perdue of Lake Wales; sisters, Janice Neff, Laura “Kitten” Bickford, Nancy Grosz, and Althea “T.I.” Moody all of Lake Wales; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday, July 27, 2007 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Burial will take place at Hughs Cemetery in West Virginia.
