Wanda Jane Ellis

Wanda Jane Ellis, 76 of Frostproof, Florida passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Somers Hospice House in Sebring.

She was born May 16, 1938 in Frostproof, Florida to the late Emory and Mamie (Croley) Long and has been a lifelong resident of this area.
She was retired from Ben Hill Griffin packing House. Wanda was dedicated to God, family and friends. She cherished spending time with family on holidays and family gatherings. She enjoyed baking and preparing meals, you never left hungry. She was a member of the Frostproof Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Arrie Mae Edwards

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Arvis Ellis; daughters, Donna Jean Allen of Frostproof, Ellen Elaine Thornton and husband Oran of Frostproof, Dana Michelle Yates and husband Scott of Winter Haven; sisters, Betty Lambeth of Alabama, Marjorie Wingate of Lake Wales; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Frostproof Church of God with Pastor Rodney Cannon officiating. Interment will be held at the Silver Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 am until service time.
