FROSTPROOF--Walter M. Lane, 84, of Frostproof died of heart failure Monday, December 03, 2007 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

Born March 22, 1923 in Clay, WV to Franklin Archie and Sarah Lane; he came here from Columbus, OH in 1985. He was a retired factory worker for General Motors. He was a member of the Frostproof Church of God and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.

Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Lane. Survivors include his daughters, Mona Jean Hamilton of Jamestown, OH; and Joyce Ann Dane of Frostproof; son, Bill Taylor of Morristown, TN; sister, Wanda L. Henson of Tarpon Springs; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 08, 2007 at the Frostproof Church of God.
