Walter L. Donnelly

Walter L. Donnelly of Lake Wales passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born February 24, 1931 in New York City, NY to the late Walter Edward & Kathryn (O'Donnell) Donnelly; he came here from Chelsea, MA in 1984. He was retired from the United State Post Office, was of the Catholic faith, a veteran of Korea, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Lake Wales Elks Lodge, serving as a past Exaulte Ruler and a secretary of the Knight of Columbus in Centereach Long Island, NY. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Donnelly and a brother, Warren Donnelly. Survivors include his daughter, Jeryl Hatch (Mark) of Indian Lake Estates; sons, Russell Donnelly (Michele) of Bartow and Walter R. Donnelly of Lake Wales; brother, Wayne Donnelly of River Head Long Island, NY; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
