Wade Thomas Stanley of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010 at this residence. He was 65.
Born November 3, 1944 in Comer, Georgia; he came here 4 years ago from North Carolina. He was a retired supervisor for Compton Peachee Construction, a member of the Bessemer City Church of God and a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Marines. He enjoyed fishing and newspaper crossword puzzles.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Stanley; daughters, Tena Hillman (John) of Winter Haven and Tammy Stanley (Brian Allen) of Alturas; son, Scott Stanley (Leah) of Daphney, AL; sister, Patsey Mincey of Gastonia, NC; and 7 grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Burial took place at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia, North Carolina.
