Virginia McCoy

Virginia McCoy, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her residence on May 12, 2026. She was born on October 25, 1947, in Metter, Georgia.

Virginia was known for her warm and welcoming nature; she loved to socialize and never met a stranger. Parties and gatherings brought her great joy, and she cherished every moment spent with family and friends. Virginia worked as a self-employed housekeeper and was a proud member of the VFW in Lake Wales.

Her family was very important to her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry McCoy; son Robert Taylor; companion Joe Webb; and sister, June Webb. She is survived by her sons, Keith Taylor and his wife Tanya of Lake Wales, Vincent Taylor and his companion, Andrea McCullough of Blairsville, Georgia, and Marty Taylor of Babson Park; brother, Vodgel Hutchison, and his wife Beverly of Haines City; step-daughter, Becky McCoy Hans; grandchildren, Austin Taylor, Brianna Taylor, Chirsten Taylor; and 7 great-grandchildren.
