Violet Berniece Tyree of Frostproof passed away Friday, December 31, 2010 at the Kindred Health Care in Tampa.
She was born July 11, 1934 in Indiana to the late Roland & Mossie Todd; she came here 15 years ago from Winter Haven. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Violet was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila Tyree, brothers, Ira Morgan and Paul Todd and a sister, Ruth Osborne. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Arnis "Jr" Tyree; daughters, Beverly Goode of Lake Wales, Teresa Westphal of Winter Haven, Paula Hensley of Frostproof and Cynthia Brown of Fort Meade; sister, Betty Shepherd of Branford; brother, Harold Todd of Winter Haven; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until the funeral service at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof with Rev. Wrynn Collins officiating.
