Vevalee “Vev” Marcantel of Lake Wales, FL passed away Friday, August 1, 2008 at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL

Born January 20, 1925 in Eastman, GA; she came to Lake Wales 7 months ago fro Iowa, LA. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Iowa Methodist Church. She enjoyed church activities and was an avid scrabble player.

Vev was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Marcantel in 1994. Survivors include her daughters, Dawn O’Dell of Lake Wales, FL, Rebecca “Becky” Hebert of Iowa, LA and Suzanne “Suzy” Heimbach of Lake Charles, LA; sons, Kenneth M. Sapp of Herndon, VA and John F. Marcantel of Mittie, LA; sister, Chris O’Neal of Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the First Methodist Church in Iowa, LA.
