Vernon W. Brant

Vernon W. Brant of Babson Park passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Somers Hospice House in Sebring.
He was born December 19, 1931 in Castle Shannon, PA to the late Lester & Ethyl Brant; and he came here from Orlando 10 years ago. He was the owner/operator of Brant Brothers Inc., a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a veteran of Korea, serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. He enjoyed life, jigsaw puzzles and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Vernon was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Brant. Survivors include his daughter, Jill Smeal and her husband, Michael of Babson Park; son, Chris Brant and wife, Maria of Orlando; sisters, Shirley Haynes of Orlando and Leone Hunt of Milton; brothers, Ralph Brant of Orlando and Don Brant of Orlando; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lake Wales.
