Vernetta Mae Rist Heckle

Vernetta Mae Rist Heckle of Winter Haven passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Astoria Health & Rehabilitation Center in Winter Haven.

Born May 15, 1928 in Moundsville, WV to the late Alva Rist & Allie Mae Doles Rist; she came here from Moundville, WV in 1980. She was a homemaker and a member of the South Lake Wales Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Heckle in 1995 and twin sons, John Charles Heckle in 2000 and Thomas E. Heckle in 2005. Survivors include her four grandchildren, Diana Darnell of Haines City, Darla Fenley of Winter Haven, Debra Cloud of Bartow and Clint Heckle of North Carolina; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held 3:00 pm, Friday, September 2, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
