Verna Louise Duke of Winter Haven passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 at LifeCare Winter Haven.

She was born May 26, 1927 in Little Falls, New York to the late Walter and Helen Harwick; she moved to Winter Haven from New York in November of 1959. Verna was a retired Nourishment and Dietician Clerk for Winter Haven Hospital. She was of the Lutheran faith.

Verna was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Warner Duke; and son, James Edward Warren Duke. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Rogers of Winter Haven; and sons, Douglas Robert of Lakeland, and Dwight James and wife Patsy of Hensler, North Dakota; sisters, Sara Lape of Sauquoit, New York, and Joan Minor of Mohawk, New York; brother, Walter Harwick of Mohawk, New York; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
