Vera Thompson

Vera Thompson of Frostproof passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at The Groves Center in Lake Wales.

She was born October 7, 1938 in Caraway, Arkansas; she came here 40 years ago from Kenansville, FL. She was a homemaker and attended the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Frostproof. She loved family time.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Thompson; sons, Jimmy and Johnny Thompson; and a daughter, Rosemay Thompson. Survivors include her daughters, Sue Barrs and husband, James of Frostproof and Nancy Ivey and husband, Perrin of Frostproof; son, Charles Thompson of Fort Meade; five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Frostproof with Rev. Larry Dailey officiating. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
