Velma Lee Waters

Velma Lee Waters, 88, of Haines City, Florida passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at her residence.

She was born March 18, 1927 in Limestone, Florida to the late D.M. and Nora (Albritton) Rehberg and she has been a resident of this area for 67 years moving here from Wauchula. Velma was a retired nurse. She enjoyed family time and Rays Baseball. She was a member of Lake Pierce Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Purvis Waters in 2007, 4 brothers and a sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Gayle Turner and husband Joe of Haines City; 2 grandchildren, Scott Turner and wife Stacey, Richard Turner and wife Christy; 7 great grandchildren, Nick, Misty, Braden, Samantha, Lauren, Connor and Payton; 3 great great grandchildren, Cypher, Damien and Serenity.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Pastor Gerry King officiating. Interment will be held at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
