Velma Mae McClure, 93

Velma Mae McClure of Winter Haven passed away Friday, May 21, 2021 at Forsythe Hospice House in Auburndale.

She was born December 9, 1927 in Woodburn, Indiana to the late Cietus and Agnus Miller. Velma was a retired solderer for Magnavox. She was a member of Waverly Baptist Church.

Velma was preceded in death by her husband, Ben McClure on March 25, 2019; brother; two sisters; and one grandchild. She is survived by her daughters, Lois Henderson of Lafayette, Indiana, and Linda Dawson of Convoy, Ohio; son, Donald Taylor, Jr. of Tampa; step-daughter, Janet Santago of Andrews, North Carolina; brothers, Ronald Miller of Indiana, Robert Miller of Arkansas; sister, Donna Frecker of Indiana; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled at this time. Interment will take place at Mount Pisgah in Warne, North Carolina.
