LAKE WALES -- Ms. Velma M. Brosius of Lake Wales died of heart failure Sunday (July 16, 2006) at Winter Haven Hospital. She was 92.

Born June 11, 1914, in Ransomville, N.Y., Ms. Brosius moved to Lake Wales from North Tonawanda, N.Y., in 1985. She was a retired nurse's aid at Kenmore Mercy Hospital in Kenmore, N.Y. She was a former member of the Saddlebag Women's Club and the Coutrie Club. She was a member of Lake Wales Lutheran Church.

Ms. Brosius is survived by her grandson, Edward Fahs, Wellsville, N.Y.; granddaughters, Wendy Fahs Bachman, Denver, Tammy Fahs, Niagra Falls, N.Y.; five great-grandchildren.
