Varna Allen Gill

Varna Allen Gill of Brandon, FL gently passed away with family by her side and under hospice care on November 27, 2010 at the Health Center of Plant City.

Born on November 23, 1927 in Lithia, FL, she was predeceased by her husband, Horace Gill in December 1975; also, by her father and mother, Lealman and Maude Johnson Allen; her loving stepmother, Laurie Jones Allen; brothers, Virgil, Howard & Edgar Allen; and sister, Carolyn Cook. She is survived by her daughter, Gail (Bert) Neidhammer; granddaughter, Kimberly (Jim) Puckett; great-grandchildren, Courtney Hooper and Zachary Puckett; sisters, Wilda Bugbee, Linda (Keith) Stewart, Cathy (Jerry) Meeks, Sheila (Danny) Walker and Gilda (Ed) Gunn; and numerous nieces and nephews by whom she was loved and whom she dearly loved.

She lived in Lake Wales, FL from 1958 - 1983, then moved to Brandon, FL. She was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed league bowling, golf, a mean game of Canasta, Samba and Scrabble. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales. Her beautiful, fun spirit and loving, giving nature will live on in all our hearts.

A private, family graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
