Tommy Tucker, Jr.

Tommy Tucker, Jr. of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, Florida.

He was born November 24, 1960, in Sebring, Florida to the late Tommy Newton and Elizabeth Tucker. He has spent most of his life in Lake Wales and was employed with B L Smith Electric. He was an active member of the Waverly Baptist Church and enjoyed missionary work and was a former deacon of West Side Baptist Church. He was active with his children and grandchildren and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of the bowling league Orange Belt USBC, Florida. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his sister, May Chapman and brother-in-law Wayne Price.
Survivors include Karen Tucker, his wife of 39 years; daughters, Jeanette Horne-First and her husband Eddie of Winter Haven, FL and Mindy McPherson and her husband Brad of Winter Haven, FL; son, Shawn Tucker and his wife Marsha of Lake Hamilton, FL; sister, Faye Price of Lake Wales, FL and brother, Richard Tucker, Sr. and his wife Tracy of Lake Wales, FL and 7 grandchildren; Brandon, Brian, Kirstyn, Savannah, Keagan, Logan and Addison.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm on Friday, May 5 at Waverly Baptist Church with the funeral service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Waverly Baptist Church with Rev. David Durham officiating.
