Tommy Croley of Frostproof passed away Friday, August 28, 2009 at his residence.
He was born October 21, 1946 in Lake Wales to the late Horace and Mary Inez (Griggers) Croley; and has been a lifelong resident of the area. He was an Emergency Medical Technician for Polk County Emergency Medical Services, was of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandkids. He was active in the Frostproof Little League, formerly serving on the board and coaching. He was also an Atlanta Braves fan.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Tenny "T.R." Croley; daughter, Tammy Croley Ard and husband, Mike of Frostproof; son, Thad E. Croley and wife, Jan of Frostproof; brother, Henry C. "Chuck" Croley of Babson Park; 5 grandchildren, Trevor & Tanner Ard, Eli Croley, Jennifer Hebel and Joey Stanley; and 2 great-grandchildren, Hayden & Hanna Hebel.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Monday, August 31, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Frostproof. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
