Timothy D. "Tim" Spaudling

Timothy D. Spaulding of Fieldon, IL, winter resident of Lake Wales, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born November 11, 1953 in Alton, IL to the late Jack & Mary (McGill) Spaudling; he has been coming to Lake Wales as a winter resident for 7 years. He was a retired Fire Chief for the City of Alton and was a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra C. "Sandi" Spaulding; daughter, Krista "Nikki" Ludwig (Dan) of Brighton, IL; sons, Christopher "Chris" Spaulding of Alton, IL, Timothy "Timmy" Spaulding II (Christine Muntz) of Alton, IL, Matthew "Matt" Spaulding of East Alton, IL; sisters, Carol Straub (Lynn) of Fieldon, IL and Elizabeth Walker (David) of Crystal Lake, IL; brother, James "Jim" Spaulding (Mary) of Katy, TX; three grandchildren, Katelyn Ludwig, Rylie Ludwig and Tessa Muntz; and many nieces and nephews.

No local services are scheduled at this time. Burial will take place at Valhalla Cemetery in Godfrey, IL.
